DIY electric skateboard built for touring trips via paved & very light-duty rail trail sections. Features a top-mounted battery case for easy & fast hot-swapping of batteries on the fly, plus a long & sturdy Loaded Bhangra V2 deck to withstand the nearly 300lbs of rider weight and give me plenty of foot room. Twin rear-mounted 500w belt-drives, 90mm wheels. 3h to charge. Built from an Ownboard W2 parts kit

DIY Electric Snowboard

Complete custom DIY electric snowboard build using 3D printed components. 500w 36v Bafang ebike hub motor with custom 3D printed tread inserts, suspended over the wheel well cutout with solid 3D Printed ABS motor mounting arms reinforced with solid stainless steel axle brackets. 3D printed traction pads. Controlled via Flipsky 75100 ESC with wireless eskate remote. Hardware mounted with low-profile bolts. For backpacking & backcountry camping adventures in the winter on snowy trails

DIY Electric Dirtsurfer

Inline board with the rear wheel swapped out for a 36v 1000W hub motor. 16” wheels, Flipsky 75100 ESC w/ VX1 remote. Excels at gravel rail trails and offroad riding. A bit sketchy to ride at slower speeds, but becomes more stable the faster you go.

Lead Acid Cruiser Electric Skateboard

Wanted to build a lead acid powered electric skateboard to see how it compares to modern eskates. Three 12v 9ah SLA AGM batteries wired in series to produce a 36v nominal pack. They are not deep-cycle batteries. Cheap dropdown deck, 83mm wheels. Powers a single 500W belt drive motor. Range tested to 12km. Custom 3D printed ‘battery brick’ to house the batteries

Shaboardz MTN Board

I needed an All-Terrain mountainboard for skatepacking; I thought I’d combine it with a custom-build 12S1P 32140 Sodium Ion battery, to evaluate it as a PEV power source. Modified with a top-mounted battery case. Can swap between my custom sodium ion packs and regular 36v lithium eskate batteries. Shaboardz MTN board, 36v dual belt-drive drivetrain, 8” pneumatic wheels
